  23. I am interested in getting information about the progress of porting our 
  24. favorite package over to the SGI platform, what minimum system configs 
  25. will be neccessary, what the optimum configurations are, and what the 
  26. chances of becoming a beta-tester (blatant begging request) are.
  27.  
  28. I am asking because we have some world renown space scientists here at 
  29. UNH who are interested in making 3D animated videos of our boiling sun 
  30. spewing solar-atmospheric bits and coronal mass into the earth's 
  31. magnetosphere (his words not mine). The idea is to show the world that 
  32. space is far from being empty, that there are high-energy phenomena and 
  33. that these solar phenomena affect our lives and our planet and our global 
  34. ecosystem.

  36. These animations will be broadcast world-wide on Space Weather Forecasts 
  37. with Lightwave getting fabulous publicity (or as much as we can spread 
  38. around).
